Stranded !

This little guy fell out of the nest.

I almost ran over him as I parked my truck.

It was getting dark when I arrived home. As I pulled up I saw a little ball of feathers scurry along the path.

A stranded baby Thrush.

Unfortunately the featherball couldn’t fly. I figured he either fell out of the nest or was learning to fly and couldn’t get back.

A very concerned Mother bird was nearby and kept feeding her baby until dark.

I didn’t hold much hope for this ones’survival, considering the size of the rats I’d seen lately - they breed em big in the country.
